Lenovo-backed company Lenovo pulled the veil off its very first smartphone, the Z1, just a few days ago. The device looks pretty sleek and arrives with a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and a Snapdragon 801 processor under the hood.

While the processor keeping things moving onboard is pretty outdated, users will probably love the gorgeous look of the phone and the powerful 4,100 mAh battery pumping juice.
While the ZUK Z1 smartphone seemed to have spiked decent levels of interest with consumers, it does seem like the producing company will not be stopping soon. The company has teased a few images of a very intriguing smartphone on Weibo these days.
It appears the company has some pretty big plans as far as its future endeavors are concerned. Samsung stunned the mobile world when it unveiled the Galaxy Note Edge smartphone, the first one in the world arriving with an additional side-curved display. ZUK probably took inspiration from companies like Sammy, which keep pushing for innovation, and has developed a smartphone prototype with a transparent screen.

The new frontier: transparent smartphones?

And it’s not just a dummy, the handset is actually operable. The handset is showed displaying the dialer app, playing music, and appears to be running Android out of the box. It’s actually quite beautiful and sleek, so we’d naturally love it if ZUK put something like this on the market at any point.
You might remember that Samsung showcased a futuristic handset with a transparent display at CES 2015 in January. But as it was soon proven, the company was just trolling users, as the gadget was actually developed especially for “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
Samsung said the design of the super-thin phone was inspired by their Galaxy Note Edge handset, which is one of the most atypical smartphones Samsung has been offering to date.
But with ZUK’s prototype, we might actually have a chance to see the phone become a real product.
