    tried using dashlane, but I dont trust cloud based password manager, but I might have to use one soon, so many passwords to remember

    Just use 12345 as that's all the password needed, come on!

    Ok but seriously, to store passes on some online service is simply asking for pain!

    Use local data always, then backup passworded zip dbs to your own online private vault

    I use KeePass (Open source) for some and Roboform (Paid license) for others.

    I used to use LastPass, but I don't believe it is as secure as the developers promised. I only say this because there have been incidents in 2018 where some of my accounts were logged in from other parts of the world, but it might be due to my anti-virus situation rather than LastPass. Either way, I'm playing it much more safe. At the moment, I only rely on Google's Smart Lock to keep my passwords.
