Those waiting to get their hands on a virtual reality headset will soon be able to reserve their spot, as Oculus has announced that pre-orders for their Rift headset will go live on Jan. 6, 2016.
At 8 a.m. Pacific, the Oculus website will open pre-orders for the first consumer version of the Rift. Each Rift will come packaged with Lucky's Tale, a VR platforming adventure from Playful, and a copy of CCP's EVE: Valkyrie.
A number of titles have been announced for the Oculus platform, including a virtual reality version of Rock Band, announced at the 2015 Game Awards.
No specific release date has been set for the Rift headset, though the company recently announced that its Oculus Touch controllers would be delayed to the second half of 2016. The Rift is currently expected sometime in Q1 2016.
