    I have on my desktop pc AMD HD7850 but i prefer Nvidia

    Really depends on your needs actually.
    If you require one for a HTPC i would go for AMD as they have cheap, but good cards.

    For high-end gaming i would go for Nvidia, just because of the drivers.
    AMD can match NVIDIA's and are usually cheaper, but the price tag easily reflects once you start using AMDs drivers. (which is in my experience SHIT!)

    Had a bad experience once with an integrated nvidia GPU in a laptop, it made me prefer AMD for a few years (in my desktop). But nowadays, every brand can have problems. So, it makes no difference for me.

    I transitioned from a Radeon R9 270x in my first gaming PC to an Asus ROG Strix 1080 ti. Being an enthusiast, it can be pretty pricey to constantly upgrade when something new and shiny comes out.
