Has anybody seen Star Trek Discovery yet? How does it compare to old Trek?

I like it. It's different from the old version, beside new actors the story is direct and there is much more tension in each episode than in the older version.

Yeah I've heard that...I've heard it's quite dark too. Personally, I'm ust glad to have more Trek to carry things forward...ever since they cancelled Enterprise, things ust seemed to be tailing off. It's kinda cool to have a whole new generation getting into Trek!

I still have to finish watching the old Star Trek series. I did watch Discovery though and it seemed inline with the quirkiness of the original series.

I don't like STD compare to other trek series. The story lines are weak and just don't align to anything and it's so sad that watching it is a waste of my time. The recent Star Trek: Pickard is an awesome series which combine the old and the new (continuance of the Borg saga). It's a lot better than STD.

I have agree with weak and should have a treker on the write staff. But not a complete wast of time.  Pickard is BETTER,       WAY BETTER.
